Seeing how people reassured me on my facebook wall on being a good Cadet Inspector is indeed heartwarming.
4 years ago, I remember myself taking on the challenge of teaching and grooming a brand new squad of Secondary 1 cadets. Within this ardeous 4 year journey, I have seen many of them growing up to being a better leader, a more mature young man. However, some of them (in my eyes), did not make it too far. But no matter what or how bad they have done against me, I still sincerely wish for them to be a better citizen of tomorrow.
I seriously and honestly do not proclaim myself a good leader, a good role model, a good CI. Because I have had too many failures and setbacks. And its not for me to decide whether I am one or not. Its for other who judge me to decide that.
But I am really glad and content to note that there are cadets who benefited from my teachings, my passing of knowledge, my experiences. Also glad that people out there appreciates me and the things that I have done for them.
"You'll be surprised by how good CIs impact cadets. I believe you're one of them"
"Vigour in youth, wisdom in experience"
"... either way you are a good CI"
"our journey ends together"
Haven't felt so comforted in my heart for such a long time.
Thank you.
