Hello people. I'm finally back from the God forsaken island of pulau tekong for the weekend. I seriously have nothing more to say about it except, fucked up! Ok, let me see. I am not actually allowed to blog about information on what is happening in my training life there on the island. So I shall make it as general as possible so as to prevent any troubles from happening.
I fell sick. Yes, 2/2 week of my confinement. It sucks to fall sick there seriously. The medical officer is totally BO CHUP attitude. The medics are also as bad. But I can't totally blame them because they are all serving their national service as well. Cough. Fever. Flu. The top 3 sympthoms that most recruits will get when they go there. The air is difficult to breathe. The water tastes horrible. The climate is totally ridiculous. No wonder we all fall sick. Many of us did. I also feel guilty and upset not being able to train with my platoon. They are getting fitter while I'm stuck being sick. Using a fork to pluck out algae and weeds from the parade square is what I do instead of exercising.
We exercise, get scolded and do more exercise. That's what we do. Nothing else. I received my rifle already. Totally heavier than I expected it to be. But nevermind. I shall get used to it. The food there is good at the beginning. Soon, it starts getting boring and not so appealing anymore. And due to my sickness, I have no appetite to eat. But well, because we train a lot, we need more energy. So we have to eat FAST and MORE to replenish.
We only get about 7 hours of rest/sleep per day. Okay that sucks, because I usually sleep for minimum 12 hours daily. That amount of time is seriously not enough to rest. That's why I can even fall asleep while standing. Hahahaha.
Oh yes, not to forget my chio hair is now like... a set of carpet grass. Hahaha. Not that bad as I expected. But only if the stupid barber can cut my hair properly. I look like a round ball now.
And now, every time when I talk, my sentence will have at least one vulgarity mixed together with it. Its like a combinition. Hahaha. My favourite sentence in the army... suck thumb and die. We can't do anything about it, just suck our thumb, and do it. Hahaha.
I don't know what else to say anymore except that my body may be physically there, but my heart and soul is not. I no longer aim for command school because its tough. I don't want to chiong anymore. I just want to be a stupid driver. Hahaha.
I hope I get well soon. And make the best out of the time there.
