Singapore is a place where we call home. A home is a place where we want to feel happy and belonged. A belonging home will enable us to feel happy and proud of it. However, the inhabitants of this home has one again failed to prove that our home is something worth to be proud of.
Singaporeans. Sigh.
The words "excuse me", "sorry", and "thank you" never existed in the books of our people. We can never be gracious citizens if we continue being so rude and impolite to fellow homosapeins. Its upsetting seriously. When someone is blocking your way, use the word "excuse me". When you accidentally knocked someone, no matter how lightly it is, just use the word "sorry". When that person moved to the side for you, say "thank you". Okay, these are just examples. Well, simple enough to say, but in actual fact, these acts seems like impossible to some of my country men.
The public transport is there for everybody to use. So stop squeezing and pushing and running after a bus as if its your first time taking one! Even if you were to miss one, take the next one! If you are in a rush, leave earlier! I totally shook my head in disappointment when I saw hordes of people rushing to board a bus when it just arrived at its stop. Are their legs that frail that they NEED to sit down? Or to find a corner in the bus so that they can hide their horrible KIASU faces. Disgusting.
How can we be called a world class country when the people of our country behaves like cavemen. In the hospitality industry here in Singapore, unfortunately, but Singaporeans are ranked TOP THREE in the worst guests to entertain (unofficial, but yet strongly recognised by industry players).
I love my country, but I turn in shame of my people.
