When we all grow up

The only prominent activity of the day was an outing with my fellow secondary two classmates back in the year 2004. Our friendship has lasted through 7 years. Pretty long time considering all our age. There has been at least one outing per year consisting the whole group to come together as a class again. Its really nice and I will usually enjoy seeing them again because its where we catch up about our current lives and laugh about how we were kids in the past.

Half of the class has already entered their National Service. Some even being in prestigeous units such as officers, naval diving unit and commando. The other half of the class, which consists of me as well, belong to the final year students studying in the polytechnic, entering our next phase of life soon.

Its really quite amazing to see how when we were young back then, and how we are at this stage. From young boys to grown men. And its at this time when you share your life stories, that you find yourself either so tiny as compared to what this world has to offer, or you feel that you are not the only one going through life.

Imagine a group of 17 guys walking along the streets. Kind of hilarious because we really look like a group of secondary school kids walking for an excursion. My friend said: You don't find this elsewhere. You only see such a large group when secondary school kids just graduate, or otherwise they're still in secondary school. But you won't see a group this large, consisting of ALL BOYS now all GROWN UP, walking on the streets together. Its a nostalgic feeling :)
