Nostalgic

Yesterday was NPCC Annual Parade's Preview.

I managed to get the opportunity to march in at least once during this parade. Although I'm not officially the Contingent Commander, but I'm back at taking the same contingent I took 2 years ago. It is really a nostalgic feeling being able to train the same contingent, even as many people call my silly for doing something similar. And sometimes, it may be boring to a certain extent drilling cadets the same old things. I bet the cadets feel the same way too. I can see it from their faces.

The final parade is drawing closer as the days go by. Many people are feeling excited, anxiety and probably a tinge of "scard-ness". Although not marching in with the contingent, I still feel it for the Commander and the cadets. Afterall, I am the one spending the most time with the contingent. And there's a bond, a form of attachment between them and myself.

I hope that all goes well.

It brings me back many years to when I was a cadet. The last batch of cadets to be marching in "NPCC Day Parade". It was still back at Old Police Academy. The famous Toy Solider. Everything about that parade is memorable. The Contingent Commander, the contingent itself, FI Firdaus, the bun, the night sky, the drill shed, the hill, the benches that the girls always get the preveilage to sit.

And yet, I'm moving on to another phase of my life soon.

For now, all the best to all marching for NPAP 10!!

PS: Back at you! I did my drills well when I marched in!
